Translating lived human experience into practical action
Helping organisations improve safety culture, leadership capability, communication, resilience, and operational performance
JUSTIN MANLEY
Lived Experience
Justin Manley’s work is built on firsthand experience of how quickly life can change — and how the decisions people make under pressure can shape everything that follows.
After surviving a life-changing workplace incident that resulted in catastrophic injuries, Justin faced years of physical recovery, emotional rebuilding, and identity change. What followed was more than rehabilitation; it was a complete re-evaluation of leadership, responsibility, safety, communication, and human behaviour. Through that journey, Justin developed a deep understanding of the gap that often exists between policies on paper and behaviours in reality.
Rather than allowing the experience to define him negatively, Justin transformed it into a platform for change. Today, he uses his story and the lessons learned through recovery, resilience, and rebuilding to help individuals and organisations better understand the human factors that influence safety, culture, performance, and decision-making every day.
Professional
Impact
Justin now works with organisations across construction, infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing, education, and corporate sectors to create meaningful behavioural and cultural transformation. Through keynote talks, consulting, training programmes, mentoring, and strategic advisory work, he helps leaders and teams move beyond compliance-led thinking and build environments where people feel accountable, connected, and empowered to make better decisions.
His work focuses on translating lived human experience into practical action — helping organisations improve safety culture, leadership capability, communication, resilience, and operational performance. Justin’s ability to connect emotionally with audiences while delivering commercially relevant insight has positioned him as a trusted voice in behaviour change, leadership under pressure, and human-centred transformation.
