THE LEGACY
sustained transformation / long-term value
Tamdown Group partnered with Titanium Talks to strengthen behavioural safety across the organisation and create a more proactive, people-led approach to health, safety, and wellbeing. While strong systems and procedures were already in place, the leadership team recognised that achieving long-term cultural change required more than compliance alone — it required a shift in mindset, personal responsibility, and behavioural awareness across every level of the business.
Working closely with Tamdown’s leadership and HSQE teams, Titanium developed and delivered a comprehensive Behavioural Safety Programme designed to engage office staff, operational teams, managers, and site supervisors alike. Built around Justin Manley’s lived experience following a life-changing workplace incident, the programme combined emotional impact with practical behavioural learning — helping teams better understand
risk perception, decision-making under pressure, accountability, and the real-world consequences of unsafe behaviours.
The programme incorporated tailored workshops, behavioural safety training, leadership engagement, mindset development, and ongoing reinforcement around Tamdown’s core safety message: Tackling Safety Together. By connecting personal stories with operational
realities, the programme aimed to create a stronger emotional connection to safety and encourage consistent behavioural change across the business.

The impact of the programme has been significant across both culture and operational performance. Since implementation, Tamdown has seen measurable improvements in engagement, behavioural awareness, and workforce accountability, with teams becoming more confident in challenging unsafe behaviours and taking ownership of safety outcomes.
The organisation recorded more than 12 months without a Lost Time Injury following the launch of the programme, alongside a substantial reduction in Accident Frequency Rates
and a 63% decrease in reported service strikes compared to the previous financial year. HSQE observation reporting also increased dramatically, with employees across both operational and office environments becoming actively engaged in identifying risks, reporting observations, and contributing to a safer working culture.
Beyond the data, the programme created a noticeable cultural shift. Teams became more emotionally connected to the consequences of workplace decisions, while leaders gained greater visibility into the human factors influencing behaviour, communication, and risk perception. The result was not simply improved compliance, but stronger collective
responsibility and safer day-to-day decision-making across the organisation.
The lasting value of the programme lies in the behavioural and cultural foundations it helped establish across Tamdown Group. Rather than delivering a one-off safety initiative, the partnership created an ongoing framework for engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement — embedding safety as a shared responsibility rather than a procedural obligation.
By combining lived experience with structured behavioural methodology, Titanium Legacy helped transform safety conversations from reactive compliance into proactive culture development. The programme reinforced the importance of personal responsibility, open communication, and behavioural awareness, enabling teams to approach risk with greater focus, confidence, and consistency.
Today, the programme continues to influence how safety is understood and practiced across the business. Through measurable operational improvements, stronger workforce engagement, and a more connected safety culture, Tamdown’s partnership with Titanium Legacy demonstrates how real human experience can drive meaningful and lasting organisational transformation.
